Welcome to bar Sylvia, in the Spanish village of Benarmagosa in the mountains of Axarquia, the countryside that lays behind the region of Nerja and Torre del Mar on the Costa del Sol. Every Sunday mick invites Acoustic musicians and music lovers of all "flavours" to join in on the Acoustic jam night. Meet some of the regions best Acoustic players, folk and country singers, Spanish guitarists and more.

Mick and Andrea have been running bars in Spain for many years. Bar Sylvia, although tucked away in this traditional Spanish village, has taken on somewhat of an international flavour, attracting the locals and acoustic "jammers" from all over the Coast.
Bar Sylvia also hosts many special music nights throughout the summer months and you are always welcome to play your acoustic instrument here.
You can also enjoy Mick's selection of international foods, from a full English breakfast, Spanish tapa, or even a chicken Tika! Along with a good selection of drinks and great hospitality. The bar has a large outside seating area and is fully air conditioned inside, great for them blistering hot summer afternoons.
There are also many other traditional Spanish bars within the village and breathtaking countryside to admire. Benamargosa is also close to the Lake Viñuela, the largest lake in the area and Clamares, the cliff top village, said to be one of the oldest in Spain.
To find Bar Sylvia simply pass through the village to it's far end and look out for the Mahou (beer sign), that marks the entrance to the small road it is located on.
