Along the Coast of Spain and certainly in all the major resorts you will find an abundance of "typical holiday" night life and entertainment, Karaoke and live Elvis impersonations being classic favorites! Not that there is anything wrong with karaoke and many an over-intoxicated person enjoys making a fool of themselves in this entertaining but ear straining pub event! However if this type of entertainment "floats your boat" it's not hard to find, head out of your hotel and turn left or right and you will be spoiled for choice of "holiday cheese"..
Many of the larger hotels here offer live entertainment in summer too, but rule of thumb here is if you are booking a hotel FOR the entertainment, spend a bit more! Cheap hotels means cheap entertainers, "See that fat drunken man at the bar?".. He is your singer for the night !!
Best is to get out, get hunting and find some of Spain's real night life, often hidden a little away from the front line of the beach, for live music travel a little more inland to some of Spain's more rural bars and you are often in for an Acoustic treat.
The best places for Clubbers are without doubt, Ibiza, Puerto Banus (Marbella), Tenerife, Torremolinos (for gay clubbers), Madrid, and Barcelona. However most of the major destinations in Spain have some, "half decent" clubs and night spots, that can all be pretty lively in summer months.
In the Summer there are a Lot of "all dayers" up and down the coast of Spain, some parties reaching in excess of 12,000 people, with great DJ's and entertainers taking it well into early morning. Andalucia and Granada host many parties and festivals in summer and it's always a huge mix of Spanish, English and assorted Europeans, the warm summer night's in Spain are made for parties!
Keep an eye on the beaches too! In summer there are always plenty of great beach parties up and down the coast of Spain, local newspapers are best for finding summer events.
