Naturist Spain and southern Europe.

Of course, Spain and southern Europe are leading destinations for naturists, the warm climates and long summers of brilliant sunshine are just what naturists love. Many countries in southern Europe, including Spain, are also very liberal when it comes to Naturism, providing plenty of beaches and areas where clothing is optional. There are also many naturist only resorts and specialist holidays run for naturists throughout southern Europe.

Spain does take the lead though, having a climate where it is comfortable to "bear all" for much more of the year than anywhere else in Europe. Spain's outstanding naturist beaches and resorts take some beating, from discreet private getaways, to large naturist communities, Spain certainly "fits the bill" for a great naturist holiday.

On this page you will find plenty of information for naturists visiting Spain, along with naturist holidays and great ideas. If you are new to naturism, or considering trying it, then we hope that we can ease those nerves and let the liberation come shining through, just as Nature intended!

New to Naturism?

Of course you would not walk around the streets naked, that would be unacceptable in most countries, but would you get your "kit off" where it would be accepted? Some people may find that easy, but many would not, what is it we are afraid of, our looks, saggy bits, or embarrasment?

Many people have never been naked in front of anyone, except maybe a lover and many people feel so uncomfortable. Now the strange thing is, most people would not walk about in just underwear all day either, yet, go to the beach and that's exactly what people do! Skimpy tops and bottoms that leave very little to the imagination. So, in the right place at the right time many people are happy to be Almost Naked, if it is acceptable and that's what others are doing.

So why do we still need to cover those small chunks of flesh, namely, breasts, vagina and sometimes buttocks for the girls and penis and bottocks for the boys. Is it sexuality we are afraid of? As regarding our buttocks, bum's, arses, whatever you want to call them, they are pretty much the same, some larger, some smaller, just like breasts, we are not really hiding the size and shape by covering them up, we may be coving the fact they are pasty white and never come out in daylight though!

So let's get down to the nitty gritty, what are you really afriaid of, if you are the sort of person that visits the beach, wears a swim costume, or even subathes topless, then there is only one more step. When you go to a naturist beach and resort and get over the nerves of getting naked, that's when you start to relax. Nobody is studying you, measuring you up, you start to notice how different everyone really is, but yet, all the same,

At first you will not be able to help looking at those rarely exposed bit's, and it may feel  uncomfortable at first, but later, you will get used to it and not even notice them anymore. I mean, you are just not used to it, it's strange to you, but in reality it's normal, it's how we all are naturaly.

One big hurdle and sometimes tabo is the man's penis, it is the least shown part of the human body without doubt. Including on television, in culture and society, cocks just seem to be off the menu! So what is it that we fear about seeing or exposing the male genitals. I guess for many it could be a male ego thing, the guys are very sensitive about "mr pinky" and seeing other more well hung guys could hurt the pride. However, whatever causes the issue soon evaporates in a nudist enviroment, it just becomes normal, like rugby players taking a shower!

Let's face it, to be naked is natural, normal, it is what nature intended and when you try something natures way is works! Once over the initial fears and tabos, most people move into becoming regular naturists with ease and enjoy it with a passion.

A short tale from a site visitor:

Hi Adult Costa,

I read your article and though i would mention our first time as naturists.

My wife and I had booked a Holiday to the Costa del Sol and were staying in the lesser known town of Torre del Mar, in a small spanish "cortijo" right on the beach. One way the beach led to the town and became a promenade, the other way the beach backed onto countryside for miles and was so beautiful.

One day we decided to take a walk up this natural beach, after 5 minutes or so my wife said "that man has no clothes on"! We just ignored him and kept on going, we could see the beach was really busy up ahead, loads of people, as we got closer we soon realised we had walked into a naturist beach and resort. There was even a naturist camp site, which was VERY busy, that day we kind freaked and turned back home.

However that night we talked about it and thought it might be fun to go there and try it, the next day we walked back there, chose a reasonably quite spot and undressed. I did feel strange, but it was so nice feeling the sun on those bits for the first time. As the beach got busier more people were walking to and fro, it did feel strange and at times we felt a little embarassed, but they were all naked too, people of all ages, after a while we began to relax.

The rest of the holiday we went back daily to that beach and even mustered up courage to have a drink at the bar on the campsite. That was a strange experience, but again, strange to start with, but soon it seemed normal. Since that holiday on the Costa del Sol, we always take holiday near a naturist beach or resort and we never go home with white bits.

The other plus side is, it does away with your fears and worries about your body, it has made both of us feel a lot more self confident too. Take on your fears instead of letting them control you, naturism is nothing to be afraid of and you may well enjoy it.

Sun Protection a serious issue in Spain!

Just 1 hour in the Spanish sun without the protection of a sun lotion can cause very bad sunburn. Naturists should use at least a factor 20 sun cream all over, when sun bathing on the beaches of Spain in the summer. We know you want a nice tan, but do you really want blisters on your bits?

Almost all beaches in Spain allow topless sunbathing and you will not have to travel far to find the more secluded "clothing optional" beaches. Naturism is very popular in Spain and in summer months the naturist beaches can become very busy, if you are a little shy then come late in September, when you may find a few more secluded and private areas.
